I do not share panic and buzz around the end of human era with the arrival of AI. I’d rather think that there are different groups of interest of this kind of interpretation: political, economic, ideological and social among others. I think that when we pay attention to some ideas and give our time to explore them – we make an investment in those ideas and projects. We make them become more tangible. Attention may be a new form of capital raising in an upcoming digital age. It is already established its features.

This is a timeless formula of attention, which transforms ideas, fears and expectations into phantoms. In a quiet alchemical way, these phantoms hunt imagination and create real beliefs. These beliefs may lead to a realistic, material transformation of the world. Still, they are the phantoms until you pay attention and decide to welcome them in a physical world.    

I prefer to concentrate my attention on the role of historical, social, biological cycles and their interconnections and cross-influence. A rhythm is present in the world on different levels: from a human heart rhythm to the planetary bodies. A rhythm is a personal path and individual signature.

As I mentioned in the previous article, The RenaiScience Fiction, I see the arrival of AI as a matter of analogies wave in our interaction with information. As at the Renaissance time, new technology and tools do not replace humanity but transform practices.

I see AI in general and neural networks as its particular form, as a tool with all that comes with any tool. The art of crafting it, the art of mastering it, regulation, control, capital, communication, and creativity of application and execution above it all. A tool transmits an intention of its master, as always.
