Сonsciousness is beyond computation

This phrase of Roger Penrose means to me that there is a whole universe of questions, theories, innovation to realize and deal with on a new level and through a new form. Computation and AI give tools to work with information. The work itself, a creative process of organizing and using information open new opportunities. I think that a question of How becomes more important than What in the age of massive data storage and calculation.

When you have an access to the information databases, and you have a technology to increase its extractions, a method of doing it matters more than data itself. The way you reason and make analogies matters. A choice you make to apply a raison-sequence link or a synchronistic link matters. A revolutionary and visionary decision and innovation is a matter of a process organization.

I think that this is an era of methods, guilds and orders, masterpieces, process and maintenance.   

I refer to the Renaissance forms of organization like craftsmen guilds and spiritual orders. The way they managed and interacted within theirs organizations might be more important than a number of participants and availability of financial resources. 

I think that maintenance of infrastructure, fluidity of decisions, intuition and understanding of cycles and rhythms will play a key role in projects, research and communities development. I think that mastering features of AI tools and computation in general becomes a new wild west. Mastering of analogies’ links open new dimensions to information archelogy field and discoveries. I think that information archeology may shine bright in a similar way that classical archeology shined at the beginning of the 20th century.

Maintenance and improvement of process and features also highlight a meaning of a masterpiece rather than a new revolutionary object; an art of a craft and an art of a detail. A detail may be a core difference of an AI tool mechanics and a subject of mastering.   

Masterpiece concept refers to the middle age and the Renaissance craftsmen communities. A masterpiece is a matter of practice, method and process. It is a way to craft common objects with an art level. A clock, a window, a book become more than a common use thing in the hands of a craft main. Mastering features and details transform these objects into tricky mechanisms and art while maintaining their main functionality.

The Renaissance personal libraries as well as huge manuscripts with commentaries, translations, notes, context, details, indexation and organization of information – are analogies of the role of interpretation,  maintenance, updates and added features. This is also my analogy to the Personality Knowledge AI toolbox, presented in AI and Polymathy article. I will develop this concept and features in the current post.

Craftsman guilds and spiritual orders may also refer to the niche market, niche research and niche art. I mean by niche a particular production of meaning, objects and techniques. A specialization on one feature or field and creation of analogies’ links to improve and develop it.

A long tail concept of niche companies, projects and research may find its place here.

These forms of organization require an interaction – travelling in digital spaces and places – like the humanists of the Renaissance were visiting monasteries, guilds and orders in their search for manuscripts. These travels may require as well digital accesses, gates, castles and digital cities map. Let’s start a navigation.
